FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about TickAI and Article 50.

What is EU AI Act Article 50?
Article 50 sets transparency obligations for certain AI systems — including disclosing AI-generated or manipulated images, audio, video and certain text. The relevant duties become enforceable on 2 August 2026.
Will this make my product photos ugly?
No. The visible label is a small, standardised corner icon (about 24px), not an intrusive watermark — and only where you decide a disclosure is warranted. Most routine product-photo touch-ups (cropping, colour correction) tend not to need one at all.
I only sometimes ship to the EU — does this apply to me?
Article 50 scope follows where your customers are, not where you're based. If you have EU customers, it can apply even if you're a UK or US business. The optional overlay can also be set to show badges only to EU visitors.
Is this legal advice?
No. TickAI helps you identify, review and document AI content and keep evidence of your review. It does not certify compliance, and Article 50 isn't the only law that may apply (the UCPD, Consumer Rights Directive and DSA can too).
Do you store my images?
No. We read provenance metadata transiently and keep only the extracted metadata for your audit trail — never the asset files themselves (zero-retention).
Do I need a separate plan per website?
Pricing is per domain. If you run several sites, add more subscription units at checkout — there's no bundled multi-domain tier.
